Mutual Recognition

The Institute of Public Accountants is proud to recognise membership with associations who are full members of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), assisting you if you're wishing to become an IPA member.

If you're already a member of a full IFAC body, and wish to apply for IPA membership, simply provide evidence of your paid current year's subscription which clearly shows your membership level, or provide us with a letter of good standing from your accounting body, together with your membership certificate and application form.

Your supporting documents, with the exception of your paid tax invoice, must be certified true or original copies.

Equivalency rankings

  • Associate members of an IFAC full member body can apply for Associate (AIPA) membership.
  • Full members of an IFAC full member body can apply for Member (MIPA) membership.
  • Fellow members of an IFAC full member body can apply for Fellow (FIPA) membership.
