Mental Health First Aid for IPA Members and Small Business
Delivered by Stephen Dowling, FIPA FFA Mental Health First Aid Instructor – Delivering Safe Services.
The Mental Health First Aid for Small Business Finance and Accounting sector teaches how to assist a co-worker, client or person in distress who is developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. The mental health first aid is given until appropriate professional help is received. Participants will learn the signs and symptoms of these mental health problems, where and how to get help and what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective. The mental health first aid course does not teach people to provide a diagnosis or therapy.
