IPA THANKS SMALL BUSINESS MINISTER BILLSON

The Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) is congratulating the former small business minister, the Hon Bruce Billson and wishes him well in his departure from federal politics at the end of the current term.

“It has been an honour to have worked with Bruce Billson,” said IPA chief executive officer, Andrew Conway.

“Mr Billson has escalated the small business sector on the political agenda and I personally wish to thank him for his support to our small business advocacy efforts including the Australian Small Business White Paper we launched a few months ago.

“While we look forward to working with the new small business minister, the Hon Kelly O’Dwyer, it would be remiss of the IPA to not pay tribute to the passion and drive, Mr Billson brought to the portfolio.

“Small business holds the key to Australia’s future prosperity and this country needs more champions of the cause like Mr Billson,” said Mr Conway.
