Quality Assurance Reviews Coming Soon

We would like to remind you that if you hold an Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) professional practice certificate you are required to undertake a Professional Practice Quality Assurance (PPQA) review of your practice every three to five years.

The next round of PPQA reviews is coming soon. All members selected for a PPQA review will be notified by us shortly.

If you are selected, please complete the PPQA online questionnaire and provide us with documentary evidence demonstrating your compliance with the IPA’s quality assurance requirements for public practitioners. This requirement is detailed in Pronouncement 4 – Quality Assurance Reviews.

The PPQA process is paramount to assist IPA public practitioners improve their work practices to best practice levels and ensure they have documented system quality control policies in place, as well as procedures which provide reasonable assurance that the practice and staff comply with accounting professional standards and regulatory and legal requirements as specified in and required by APES 320 – Quality Control for Firms.

There is usually no additional cost to members for participating in the PPQA review. All participants in the PPQA review will be eligible for up to ten hours of Continuing Professional Development.
