IPA AWARDS MEMBER AND PRACTICE OF THE YEAR 2017

The Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) announced the member of the year and practice of the year winners for 2017 at a special dinner last night at the IPA’s National Congress on the Gold Coast.

IPA President, Damien Moore presented the awards to Jamie Johns, CEO and Founder of Sky Accountants from Victoria for Member of the Year and Mitchell Moroney of Moroney & Associates for Practice of the Year.

Mr Johns an expert in cloud accounting is well known for giving back to the profession by sharing his knowledge and experience with other accountants.

“On average one accountant calls me each week and I am always more than happy to share what I have learnt that has given my life freedom,” said Mr Johns.

Moroney & Associates were recognised through the efforts of its principal, Mitchell Moroney for the ongoing willingness to contribute to the profession, engaging with students and fairs and at TAFEs along with active participation in discussion groups.

“It’s a pleasure to acknowledge the efforts of members and their contribution to enhancing the reputation of the profession.  Both Jamie and Mitchell have been awarded for their efforts amongst a high calibre field around Australia,” said IPA chief executive officer, Andrew Conway.
