SMALL BUSINESS STILL IN VOGUE WITH CABINET RESHUFFLE

The Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) has welcomed the appointment of The Hon Kelly O’Dwyer MP to Cabinet as Minister for Small Business and Assistant Treasurer.

“Over the past two years, the Australian Government has made significant progress in providing support to small business,” said IPA chief executive officer, Andrew Conway.

“Ms O’Dwyer has considerable momentum to leverage and we are very confident that small business will remain at the centre of economic debate.

“The IPA acknowledges Ms O’Dwyer’s commitment to small business and we look forward to the Minister’s ongoing support of our Australian Small Business White Paper.

“We believe the combination of the small business portfolio with the taxation policy focus of the Assistant Treasurer provides a very sound foundation for positive reform,” said Mr Conway.
