Being a member of the IPA and operating under the IPA banner gives me the credibility and integrity that allows me to be run my Accounting business with confidence. I get value from the camaraderie with other members, the highly relevant CPD events, the social functions and the regular emails from the IPA regarding the profession as a whole/tax changes. At the IPA the best resources are other members (we all have each other’s backs!), the Myriad of templates on the IPA website member portal, “Professional Assist” service that connects members to specialist advisers and the easy and fairly priced Professional Indemnity Insurance through IPA Insure.

I initially became a member of IPA due to their more competitive fees. I also heard IPA provided better support and resources for their members. The value of my IPA membership is definitely the resources and support that have been absolutely amazing so far. The resources I like the most are: Professional Assist (what a fantastic resource) and being able to call IPA for some advice/support on non-technical matters and actually getting a response. May I add ALL of the representatives of IPA I have dealt with so far have just been so lovely to deal with.

I am a member of the IPA because, professional membership seems to be a requirement for most professionals. I find the IPA’s to be more grounded and more helpful, especially in regard to Public Practise. Professional development & ongoing CPE is a large part of the commitment of membership of a professional body. The IPA cover this well, with a combination of face-to-face and web resources. IPA membership also gives additional credibility to my services to the public. I really enjoy the comradery at IPA events. The resources I like the most is definitely the CPE activities. IPA Staff are also very obliging and understanding when assistance is required.
