The 2019 China Delegation will return to Beijing, the most important city in this vast country, with great contrasts of tradition and modernity. The program features three days of seminars and site visits with the aim of providing delegates with the opportunity to become familiar with Chinese markets, identify potential business partners and network with industry peers. A visit to a giant e-commerce platform will help delegates to understand how life styles are being changed and a workshop using WeChat media will help delegates to investigate innovative ways of marketing and building sales. An Executive Certificate of International Business will be awarded to every delegate at the end of program.

Monday, 10 June - Arriving

Upon arrival at Beijing airport you will be transferred to your hotel. Recommend sightseeing: Wangfujing, Hutong and Tiananmen Square on your own.


For those delegates who have arrived, delegates will meet in the hotel Lobby at 4pm to receive Program Pack and then walk to Wangfujing, a pedestrian shopping area that is famous in China. Delegates will be told about nearest restaurants, shops etc.

Day 1 Tuesday 11 June - Day Tour to Great Wall

Delegates will visit China’s most famous attraction - The Great Wall.

Day 2 Wednesday day 12 June - Business Culture and Environment

In the morning, an expert will offer a general introduction to doing business in China along with common cultural practices and etiquette.


This will be followed by a presentation from Austrade to discuss the China Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA).


In the afternoon, a Financial Services Company will introduce Chinese investment trends and what they are looking for with Australian businesses.


In the evening, delegates will have the chance to meet with local IPA and IFA members at a specially arranged welcome networking function.

Day 3 Thursday 13 June - Regulations and Requirement + Operations and Practices

In the morning, delegates will be provided with an introduction to Chinese regulations, taxation and legal requirements for foreign companies.


In the afternoon delegates will undertake a site inspection at a Chinese company who has dealings with Australia and hear firsthand their experiences.


Delegates will have some leisure time this night and dinner will be at their own expense.

Day 4 Friday 14 June - Trend and Opportunities 

Delegates will conduct a site visit at a famous e-commerce platform to sense business trends in China and opportunities for Australian accounting firms/enterprises.

Delegates will visit a local medium sized accounting firm and a presentation on operations of local accounting firms and a presentation from China Institute of Certified Public Accountants will help delegates to build up business relations with local professionals.

In the evening, delegates will celebrate the last night of the program with a traditional Chinese Banquet dinner.

Saturday 15 June - Day 5  Day Tour in Beijing

Delegates leave hotel in the morning to have a day tour in Beijing including visits to Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City (also known as Imperial Palace) and then Summer Palace.

Transportation: drop off at airport
