This seminar includes 2 separate sessions:
- Fringe Benefits Tax (‘FBT’): This session will cover the latest 2020 updates in FBT implications; including
whether ubers are taxis, proposed changes to remote area housing concessions, travel expenses, rates and much more.
- Superannuation Guarantee (‘SG’):This session will
cover the currently proposed Superannuation Guarantee
Amnesty and how your clients can take advantage of
voluntary disclosures. It will also cover the latest
developments in the area of SG (including leave
loading). There has been a significant ongoing campaign
by the ATO in recent times to identify and review
employers who have not met their SG obligations. Also,
the ATO now has unprecedented access to company data through single-touch payroll (‘STP’) systems. The
ATO announced in mid-October 2019 that it is set to
notify 2,500 employers for paying their SG contributions
late during 2018-19 year, due to STP data accessed for
that financial year. Now is the time to encourage clients to do a SG Health
check of their payroll systems set-up and procedures to
confirm SG compliance (before the ATO does!).
- Fringe Benefits Tax
- Superannuation Guarantee Amnesty
- Ordinary Time Earnings
- Annual Leave Loading re SG requirements
- Superannuation Guarantee Charge Statements and voluntary
- Fringe Benefits Tax (‘FBT’): This session will equip

ready to advise clients for the 2020 FBT year.

risk areas, and how to voluntarily disclose issues to the ATO
(including under any applicable SG Amnesty).
