The SMSF audit process can be frustrating for both SMSF trustees and SMSF accountants and advisers.
This session will explore how the auditor can add value to the SMSF compliance process and what can make the process go more smoothly, with a minimum of 'fuss and bother' in what is largely seen as a necessary task.
Topics Covered
- What is an audit?
- Why is the auditor so pedantic?
- What will make the process easier?
- Auditor reporting and why they have to do it.
Benefits and Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of the session, participants will have a greater understanding of what the auditor requires when conducting an SMSF audit and what will keep the auditor satisfied, reducing the likelihood of repeated queries and document requests.
