To nominate yourself or another person as the IPA Member of the Year, that person must be a fully financial member of the IPA, in good standing.
To nominate a Practice as the IPA Practice of the Year, someone within that practice must hold a valid Professional Practice Certificate (PPC) or Professional Practice Manual (PPM) with the IPA.
To nominate yourself or another person as the IPA Rising Professional of the year, that person must be either a:
current student member of the IPA and studying an accounting-related qualification, or
GAIPA member of the IPA, or
member of the IPA for less than 5 years.
To be eligible for the Member or Practice of the Year, you must be a member for a minimum of five consecutive years with the IPA.
Each question in the survey must be completed to be eligible.
Nominees for each award will be encouraged to have clients, employees and associates endorse them during a designated time period. Studnets must have at least one endorsement from an academic supervisor.
A member from each State will be selected as IPA Member of the Year (QLD Member of the Year, NSW Member of the Year etc). A Practice and Rising Professional from each State will also be selected as IPA Practice and Rising Professional of the Year. However, the IPA reserves the right to not award a winner for either Award in a particular State if a suitable candidate cannot be identified.
Winners of the State Members, Practice and Rising Professional awards will go into the running to win the National Member of the Year Award, National Practice of the Year Award, and the National Rising Professional of the Year Award. National winner(s) will be announced in November. The IPA will cover the associated travel cost and accommodation.
