Auto Renew - Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Auto Renew?
Auto Renew is a convenient way to annually renew your membership before it expires. By selecting this option, each year your credit card will automatically be charged the applicable fees for that membership renewal period.
2. How do I sign up and select Auto Renew for my membership fees?
You can sign up for the Auto Renew by selecting this option when renewing your membership online
Alternatively, you can complete the payment slip on your renewal notice and select the Auto Renew box, and return it to the IPA in the reply paid envelope.
3. How will I be notified of any changes to the annual membership fees?
A renewal notice will be provided to you that will outline the membership fees for the coming financial year. The renewal notice will be emailed or posted in early May each year.
4. How do I opt in to the Auto Renew payment option?
You can opt in to Auto Renew by sending your membership number and payment information to [email protected] no later than 31 May.
5. How do I opt out of Auto Renew?
You can opt out by sending your membership number and information that you wish to opt out to [email protected] no later than 31 May.
6. I have cancelled my credit card. How do I provide new card details?
You can update your new credit card details through our member portal by 31 May. Please contact your local IPA team on 1800 625 625 for any enquiries.
7. I would like to take up the payment option of Auto Renew but I would like to pay by instalments. Is this possible?
Unfortunately this option is not available. Auto Renew is only available in one full payment by credit card.
8. I wish to set up the Auto Renew option for my IPA membership, but I would like the payment of the fees to be deducted from my credit card after 30 June each year. Is this possible?
Unfortunately this is not an option. All Auto Renew payments will be processed in June each year.
9. How long will my Auto Renew arrangement be in place for?
The option of Auto Renew will be in place for as long as you are happy for this arrangement to proceed, or until you opt out.
10. Are there any fees involved for this service?
No, it is completely free. The only fees paid are for your actual membership renewal fees.
11. How can I update my credit card details or expiry date for this Auto Renew service?
You can update your credit card number and/or expiry date by emailing your new card details and membership number to [email protected] or calling your local IPA team on 1800 625 625.
12. What happens when a credit card is invalid/expired/cancelled/declined?
We will attempt to use the last valid credit card that we have stored with SecurePay. If payment fails, we will send you a notification by email. You can provide your new credit card details by return email or by calling your local IPA team on 1800 625 625.
13. What should I do if I have selected Auto Renew and have changed my mind after I have renewed my membership?
We can remove this payment option on your behalf.
