Topic 2: Creating the Right Team Culture |

Topic 3: Linking Management Style with your Personal Development Plan |

This webinar will delve into the relationship between your management style and your impact on others. Mastering the art of managing yourself will improve your effectiveness as a manager. The first step to managing yourself better is to understand your own management style and the choices you have to modify that style. Once you’ve decided what changes you want to make to your management style, you’ll need a plan on how to do that. To that end, the purpose of a personal development plan is highlighted and the process to construct one for yourself is introduced. We will explore a range of issues such as how control and power affect the development of good working relationships, the importance of trust in the workplace and tips on delegation. A variety of management styles will be introduced along with easy to apply frameworks to develop your particular management style and enhance your decision making. Work by influential authors such as Douglas McGregor, Victor Vroon and Ken Blanchard are featured. Finally, the development cycle for how we learn will be shown and you’ll have the opportunity to craft your own personal development plan. |
Topic 4: Motivating Your Team |

This webinar will focus on the role of a manager in motivating their team. After all, being a manager means achieving objectives, goals and targets THROUGH and WITH people you simply can’t accomplish what needs to be done on your own. Becoming a more effective manager relies on motivating and managing your team better. The webinar starts with a focus on developing a better understanding of team behaviour. By understanding the needs of individuals in your team, you’ll be in a better position to understand their expectations as employees and the types of rewards that will motivate them. Topic 6 - Managing Stakeholders, Data and Information |

This webinar will examine the crucial role that data and information play in determining and satisfying stakeholders needs. Businesses have a range of stakeholders and their needs are constantly evolving, particularly given the significant external environmental changes affecting organisations generally as well as the accounting industry specifically. Accountants already have a keen eye for data and information, particularly where it relates to financial and legal requirements so we’ll focus on how you can extend that skill to other sources of quantitative and qualitative data and information that are relevant to your stakeholders. We’ll also explore the process of setting non-financial objectives and measuring progress against those objectives in order to improve your effectiveness as a manager.
