IFAC President to speak at IPA Conference

The Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) has snared a huge draw card as keynote speaker at its National Congress - the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) President, Warren Allen.

IFAC is the global organisation for the accountancy profession, dedicated to serving the public interest by strengthening the profession and contributing to the development of strong international economies.

It is comprised of 173 members and associates in 129 countries and jurisdictions, representing approximately 2.5 million accountants in public practice, education, government service, industry and commerce.


Mr Allen's keynote address is entitled "The global accounting profession: working to strengthen the global economy" and will be presented to the conference delegates. 

This major conference, running from 7 to 9 November, will also feature many other well sought after presenters including Dr Michael Schaper (ACCC Deputy Chairman), Dr Craig Latham (ASBC Deputy Commissioner), John Price (ASIC Commissioner), Matthew Bambrick (ATO Assistant Commissioner), Stuart Forsyth (ATO Assistant Deputy Commissioner), Andrea Slattery (SPAA CEO), Matthew Rowe (FPA Chairman) and Noel Whitaker AM.

Mr Allen's presentation will be delivered on the morning of Friday, 8 November at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort on the Gold Coast.
