IPA lodges pre-budget submission
The Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) has lodged its 2015-16 pre-Budget submission with the Treasury.
Key recommendations contained within the IPA submission focus on boosting productivity across the small business/SME sectors. If Australia is to overcome the economic challenges ahead then a more productive small business/SME sector will be critical.
“Many of the IPA's recommendations stem from our direct engagement with small businesses as a result of the Australian Small Business White Paper consultation,” said IPA chief executive officer, Andrew Conway.
“We have incorporated measures to address some of the impediments to small business productivity; including, access to affordable finance for small business through an innovative loan guarantee scheme and a venture capital fund.
“The IPA is also putting forward recommendations to boost education and training to meet Australia’s existing skills shortages, along with recommendations to improve innovation across the economy.
“In addition, there are some 27 tax and superannuation recommendations to drive business activity and entrepreneurialism,” said Mr Conway. For the IPA’s complete pre-Budget submission go to /2015budget
