Minister for Small Business to open IPA Congress
Federal Cabinet Minister for Small Business, the Hon Bruce Billson MP, will officially open the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) National Congress being held at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort on the Gold Coast.
"The IPA has a major focus on small business and we are thrilled to have Minister Billson officiate the opening of our major event," said IPA chief executive officer, Andrew Conway.
"We applaud the Government to have, for the first time, elevated Small Business to Cabinet in its own right and we are delighted that the largest segment of the economy now has a strong, vocal and effective advocate in Minister Billson."
This major conference, running from 7 to 9 November, features a plethora of talented and informative presenters, including a keynote address from the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) President, Warren Allen.
Other presenters include Dr Michael Schaper (ACCC Deputy Chairman), Dr Craig Latham (ASBC Deputy Commissioner), John Price (ASIC Commissioner), Matthew Bambrick (ATO Assistant Commissioner), Stuart Forsyth (ATO Assistant Deputy Commissioner), Andrea Slattery (SPAA CEO), Matthew Rowe (FPA Chairman) and Noel Whitaker AM.
There will also be international speakers including CEO of the Malaysian SME Corporation, Dato' Hafash Hashim, along with a 20 strong delegation from China.
