Meet your Speaker, Shirley Schaefer
With an auditing background and a deliberate focus on SMSFs, Shirley founded a separate Superannuation division at BDO back in 1996. This division was aimed to provide clients with high-quality technical support for their self-managed superannuation fund needs. Shirley is a frequent guest speaker at SMSF and Audit conferences and also offers SMSF competency training to accountants and auditors. She co-authored the Thomson Reuters SMSF Audit Guide and secured multiple SMSF and SMSF audit awards in both 2017 and 2018.
